John Brown Awarded Director of the Year by NTCA PAC.

At the Rural Telecom Industry Meeting and EXPO held in Lake Buena Vista, FL in February, John Brown, president and CEO of CSSA, received the director of the year award
from NTCA Rural Broadband PAC, the political action committee of NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association. Formerly known as TECO, NTCA Rural Broadband PAC
accepts voluntary contributions from authorized individuals within NTCA member companies and then distributes these funds to federal candidates. Since its founding in 1969,  NTCA Rural Broadband PAC has given financial support to numerous Congressional candidates who have demonstrated a concern for the unique issues associated with telecommunications in rural America.

John Brown has served as the Arkansas representative on the PAC board of directors since 2008.  In acknowledgement of John's award, Michelle Ly, Advocacy Programs Manager for NTCA, stated "throughout his tenure on the board, he has provided strategic guidance in raising funds for the PAC and leveraging the contributions when presenting funds to Congressional candidates. In particular, he has increased the participation of vendors in the PAC. He has also coordinated a number of presentations of funds from the PAC to candidates, ensuring the industry was well recognized for the contribution.  His leadership and efforts on behalf of the rural telecommunications industry are greatly appreciated".  John also serves at the State Coordinator for the Legislative & Policy Conferences.
